AddressRoom A407, Institute of Life Science, Fudan University

Major research directions:

Structural and functional basis underlying centrosome assembly and organization.

How is centrosome dysfunction linked to cancer and developmental diseases?

Phase separation-mediated membraneless organelle formation and regulation.

Education and research background:

Zhe Feng received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at Imperial College London in 2011. She was a PhD student with Prof. Jordan Raff at University of Oxford, where she performed structural and functional characterization of major scaffold proteins in centrosomes. She then worked as a Research Assistant Professor/IAS junior fellow with Prof. Mingjie Zhang at HKUST, focused on phase separation-driven non-membrane bound organelle assembly and regulation. She joins the Institute of Life Science, Fudan in 2021.

Admissions Major

Developmental and Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Genetics.
